1. Las Fallas (Valencia)

Description: Las Fallas is Valencia's emblematic festival in honour of Saint Joseph. The main attractions are the gigantic papier-mâché sculptures known as ‘fallas’, which are displayed throughout the city and finally burnt during the ‘Cremà’. Festivities include spectacular fireworks displays, parades, concerts and paella competitions.

2. La Tomatina (Buñol)

Date: Last Wednesday in August
